Recently I did a few study paintings of Mary Blair's mermaid lagoon from Perter Pan. I was inspired by Anoosha Syed and Erin Green to play with gouache. I love classic Disney, so this was a lot of fun! I watched Erin’s videos and had Peter Pan on while I was painting. I didn’t try to make exact replicas, but I wanted to capture the vibe and try out some dry brush techniques. I mixed white gouache with the primary watercolors that I had on hand. I hope I can inspire you to try out a new style or technique too. Enjoy!
